Showcase Voting For the Busy or Lazy

Looks like I picked the wrong week to try something new.

It seems that by virtue of sheer numbers the Alliance voting bloc has been picking the winner of the New Blog Showcase each week. Some people may see this as "stacking the deck" in favor of one blog or another. So, I was going to suggest that Alliance Members use the opportunity of their vote post to persuade their readers to vote as well, on the theory that any extra votes would dilute our power and increase the fairness of the results.

There is only one problem with this idea--there is a particularly poor field this week. Not that the blogs represented aren't good--Tom's Nap Room has garnered my vote before--it's just that even the "good" bloggers have all seemed to pick particularly poor posts to enter; Bonfire of the Vanities is a showcase of brilliance compared to this group...

So, the challenge this week was picking the least worst posts. I found three, and offer them to you here:

New Assignment - Filthy Lie Vacation

I got another call from Matt this morning...

Matt: Hey Harv, it's Matt, of Blackfive, the Alliance Pathfinder. I was out drinking at the airport bar last night...

Harv: O'Hare?

Matt: According to the luggage tag on my wrist, yes. So anyway, I saw Evil Glenn walking by and I overheard him saying something about how this was going to be his best vacation ever.

Harv: That's great! Now we can keep an eye on him and see what he's up to. Where's he going?

Matt: I don't know. He walked out of earshot pretty fast.

Harv: You didn't follow him?

Matt: What? And leave a perfectly good beer unattended? Blasphemer!

Harv: Don't worry about it. I'm sure the crack Alliance research staff can uncover this mystery.

Matt: Great! We'll show that puppy blending bastard! Instapundo Delenda *hic*!

Filthy Lie Assignment - Evil Glenn's Halloween

A couple weeks ago, Candy suggested an excellent theme for a Filthy Lie assignment, based on a lie she created here (Oct 5, CTRL+F "horror"). Now that Halloween is just around the corner, the time has come to answer the question:

What will Evil Glenn be doing for Halloween?

You can answer this question with a verbal description of his adventures, crude photoshoppery of his costume, or a combination of both.
