Filthy Lie Round-up: Evil Glenn's Independence Day

Independence Day will soon be upon us. Normal people will be celebrating with picnics & fireworks. How will Evil Glenn be celebrating?

Eric of Renaissance Blogger lists a couple of likely options, neither of which will be particularly easy on the eyes.

I (Harvey, posting from Bad Example) know that his activities will be... in the fireworks family... if not fireworks per se...

To all Alliance members, I wish you a safe & festive Independence Day. Celebrate by punching a mad British King in the face.

New Filthy Lie Assignment: Roasting Frank J.

Alliance Fearless Leader Frank J. will be celebrating the 4th blogiversary of IMAO on July 9th.

To help him celebrate, the Alliance will be telling Filthy Lies about HIM instead of Evil Glenn, and the round-up will be posted on Sunday at IMAO instead of the usual Saturday at Alliance HQ, which means that you have an extra day to get this written (like you'd really waste your Saturday sitting in the house blogging instead of being outside enjoying the summer).

How to enter:

Post your Filthy Lie about Frank J. at your own blog and leave a link in the comments to this post, leave a trackback, or e-mail the permalink directly to Alliance.filthylies@gmail.com.

OR

Leave a link in the comments to this post at IMAO

OR

Email the link to roastfrankj@gmail.com

Entries due by 11:59pm Saturday, July 8th and the round-up will be posted at IMAO on Sunday. Late entries for this assignment must be accompanied by profuse begging and apologies.

Conservative Cat's All-Purpose Carnival Submission Page - Bookmark this handy form, and you can enter almost any carnival with just a few clicks. It doesn't get much more convenient than this, folks. The page includes a handy "Carnival News" section featuring links to the most recent Carnival posts. Also please note that Ferdy tracks a LOT more Carnivals than just the ones listed at Alliance HQ.

The Blog Carnival Index currently tracks 374 blog carnivals and offers a submission form. If you can't find a carnival at Conservative Cat, look here (and vice versa).

Conservative Cat's Permanent Floating Ping Festival. Just send a ping to http://www.conservativecat.com/Ferdy/.track.cgi/3, and you will show up on the front page. The only rule is you need to have a link to Conservative Cat somewhere on your front page, but most Alliance members should already have that. Just keep it clean and no more than one per day. The 15 most recent pings are displayed in the right sidebar with an excerpt.

Basil of Basil's Blog wants to send you traffic!
If you trackback to a post in his "Articles of Interest" category (usually titled either "Breakfast", "Brunch", "Lunch", or "Supper"), the trackback from your post will appear in the "Covered Dish Special" section at the bottom of the post. All he asks is that you give a courtesy link back to the post you're trackbacking. See the link for details.

James of Outside the Beltway hosts a more-or-less daily linkfest called the Beltway Traffic Jam. Go to the most recent Traffic Jam post in the Traffic Jam category, and send a trackback to get entered in the next edition. If you're ping-impaired, you can use the standalone trackback form, a link to which is conveniently located at the bottom of the Traffic Jam post.

The New Blog Carnival Showcase - a chance for new bloggers (3 months old or newer) to get some free exposure. It's a great way to get your beginner's talent discovered. See this post for details. Precision Guided Humor Round-up - Stupid Protester Tricks

Cindy Sheehan & various Hollywood idiots have decided that if they skip a couple meals, Evil Bushitler will be forced to bring the troops home.

Micheal Moore has vowed to consume the unused food so that it doesn't go to waste.

Meanwhile, let's take a look at what other silly, pointless protests we can look forward to:

Cait of Siempre, Cait shows us that a couch is not only a great place to sit while watching TV, it's an effective protest tool, too.

GEBIV of There's One, Only! thinks they'll be paying homage - in their own delirium-fevered way - to some of history's greatest protests. For example:
In emulation of the United States Founding Fathers, they will be re-enacting their own version of the Boston Tea Party by pouring out -onto President Bush's Crawford Ranch driveway- nearly an ounce, each, of their Starbucks Mocha-Latte-Half Milk, Half Cream-Pinch of Cinnamon-Extra Whipped Cream-Grande Cappuccinos.

I (Harvey, posting from IMAO) have a variety of catchily-named protests in mind, including:
Poop for the Troops - Use the toilet but refuse to flush.

However they choose to protest, one thing's for sure. They'll be completely ignored by the good men & women of the Coalition Forces as they go about doing the job that needs to be done.

New Precision Guided Humor Assignment: North Korea Needs a Hug

North Korea is launching missiles, calling the tests "a success" when the missile crashes, declaring that they have a right to ICBM's, and demanding one-on-one negotiations with the US.

Throwing things, lying, whining, crying... this isn't a nation, it's a tantruming toddler.

Your Precision Guided Humor Assignment this week is to answer the question:

What other bizarre cries for attention should we expect from North Korea?

Post the answer at your own blog and leave a link in the comments to this post, leave a trackback, or e-mail the permalink directly to Alliance.PGH@gmail.com. Entries due by 11:59pm EST Wednesday, July 12th and the round-up will be posted Thursday. Late entries must be accompanied by a lame excuse.

New Filthy Lie Assignment: Evil Glenn's Hate Mail

Intriguing excerpt from Instapundit:

Heh: "Achieving Malkinesque levels of hate mail is a noteworthy event; achieving Malkinesque levels of hate mail that actually reference Malkin, racism and chipmunks has got to be some sort of milestone in the annals of online animus." Especially the chipmunk part.

I'm not sure whether Evil Glenn is trying to sound impressed, jealous, or "been-there-done-that", but in any case, it's set me to wondering.

And when I wonder, you get an assignment.

This week it's to answer the question:

What kind of hate mail does Evil Glenn get?

Post your response at your own blog and leave a link in the comments to this post, leave a trackback, or e-mail the permalink directly to Alliance.filthylies@gmail.com. Entries due by 11:59pm EDT Friday, July 14th and the round-up will be posted on Saturday. Late entries must be accompanied by a lame excuse.
