Filthy Round-Up: Evil Glenn's Weekend

Do we really want to know what a person such as Evil Glenn considers "fun"? Or even worse, what he thinks makes for an exciting "weekend"? (Whatever one of those is...)

Yes. Unfortunately, we do.

Dyre Portents starts us off with what Evil Glenn considers a good way to begin his weekend. (Ewww... grits.)

At Fmragtops Spews we get a copy of Evil Glenn's day planner. (Well, at least he's a well organized evil monster... er, lawyer.)

Harvey, posting at IMAO, has a picture of Evil Glenn doing one of his more... daring pastimes. (But how does he keep it from spilling?)

I (GEBIV of There's One, Only!) called Evil Glenn direct to get a couple answers. (And believe me, I wish I hadn't.)

justin gives us a random thought where he tells us his sources claim that Evil Glenn is starting up a fast food franchise on the weekends. (OK. Now I'm not ever going out to eat. Ever again.)

INSTAPUNDO DELENDA EST!

It's over.

The blogwar with Evil Glenn is done. And Evil Glenn won. Or, more importantly, we lost.

Just after I posted the round-up to this week's Filthy Lie Assignment, I recieved a phone call from Harvey. Basically, the rumors that we had all been hearing about Frank J. getting buddy-buddy with Evil Glenn were true. It started with Frank getting a mention during Evil Glenn's promotions of his new book, An Army of Davids. And then, with each link that IMAO got from Instapundit, Evil Glenn's power over Frank J. grew. Finally, things progressed to the point where Frank J. became lost to us.

You remember all the news when Frank and Sarah got their new dog, Brandi. They were posting pictures and stories of her almost every other day. And then... the posts just stopped. I'm afraid that the truth of the matter is that to officially join Evil Glenn, Frank and Sarah had to blend Brandi as part of their innitiation.

And then, once our leader Frank J. had fallen, it was only a matter of time before Evil Glenn got around to the rest of us. The deal that we were offered (through Harvey, since he is the next most frequent poster on IMAO, after Frank J.) was this:

In return for swearing fealty to EvilGlenn Reynolds:

* We get one link from Instapundit per site, per person, per year. (This one link will effectively increase my site (There's One, Only!) traffic by a factor of 20.)

* We get a special mention in Mr. Reynolds upcoming book "A Navy of Jonahs".

* We don't get our knee-caps broken by a hammer.

* We each get entered into the Jelly/Jam of the month club.

Now, since we will no longer be making any filthy lies about our now beloved Glenn, there will be some changes in our website formats.

My site, There's One, Only! will be mainly devoted to lauding the merits of the French made Pugeot.

Harvey, will have to stop restraining himself on Bad Example. The new Badder Example is already up on the web as I type this.

Susie, our lovely hostess, will have to change the content of her site, Practical Penumbra, to reflect how much she loves her job at the dicount movie theater (Now a subsideary of Glenn Reynolds Industries)

Phin and Basil, the blogging technical gurus, have to cease and desist all of their helpful tips. Glenn doesn't need any of his competition to have too easy a time with the technical problems of blogging.

This site, The Alliance HQ, will still exist, but only as long as the Precision Guided Humor Assignments continue. As soon as we've finished surrender terms with the Democratic Party, this feature will probably cease. As will The Alliance HQ.

As for the rest of you who so foolishly helped to wage war on Glenn, I'm sorry for your wasted time. But really, what were you thinking? That a bunch of hacks could take down the most powerfull blogger on the planet?

Sheesh. What a bunch of fools.

Well. Good Night, and Good Luck.

MORE WAR!

Although everything GEBIV mentioned in the previous post is true, it turns out that the "jelly" that we were promised was actually puppy jelly.

Which wouldn't be a problem, except that the "puppy jelly" isn't even real jelly, but rather leftovers from Evil Glenn's failed "puppy jellyfish" experiment:

This crap will NOT spread on toast!

Since Evil Glenn has defaulted on his end of the bargain, the truce is over.

The. War. Goes. On.

New Filthy Lie Assignment: Sending Evil Glenn a Message

Recently Evil Glenn received a copy of the book "King Dork" in the mail, prompting his secretary to remark:

"Somebody trying to tell you something?"

Interesting strategy.

Inspiring this week's Filthy Lie Assignment, which is to answer the question:

What would you send to Evil Glenn if you were "trying to tell him something"?

Post your response at your own blog and leave a link in the comments to this post, leave a trackback, or e-mail the permalink directly to Alliance.filthylies@gmail.com. Entries due by 11:59pm EDT Friday, April 7th and GEBIV will post the round-up on Saturday. Late entries must be accompanied by a lame excuse.

New Precision Guided Humor Assignment: Hoaxing Reuters

In their eagerness to shout "Dismal failure!" about the war, the Reuters news service blindly swallowed claims by Iraqi terrorists that they had video footage of them capturing a downed helicopter.

Well, they DID have footage - unfortunately the time stamp on it was March 19, 2000, and it was probably of a helicopter crash in Afghanistan.

Not sure whether Reuters or the terrorists are bigger idiots for not picking up on that "minor detail".

But the point is that Reuters has proven itself gullible, and we should probably expect more of these "whoopsie" stories.

Your Precision Guided Humor Assignment this week is to answer the question:

In their zeal to make it look like we're losing the War on Terror, what hoaxes will Reuters fall for?

Post the answer at your own blog and leave a link in the comments to this post, leave a trackback, or e-mail the permalink directly to Alliance.PGH@gmail.com. Entries due by 11:59pm EST Wednesday, April 12th and GEBIV will post the round-up Thursday. Late entries must be accompanied by a lame excuse.

Precision Guided Round-Up: McKinney's (D, GA) Support

When a Democrat says she supports the police, unless she's using them to run personal errands, you can be pretty sure that it's in the same way as an athletic supporter. She's got them by the balls and is just waiting for the right moment to twist.

At least, that's the impression that I got from Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney (D, GA) after her "apology" about her "unfortunate confrontation"

So, the question is, how does everyone else think that Ms. McKinney (D, GA) shows her "support" for the Capitol Hill Police?

At the Baloney Press Satirical Newspaper, we get an offer for makeovers.

The Scratching Post has this thought by K T .(And apparently, insomnia.)

tommy's Striving for Average has a photo-montage inteview of Ms. McKinney(D, GA).

Harvey, posting at IMAO, had this press conference.

Also posted over at IMAO was this line of questions by Spacemonkey. As well as this News Update by RightWingDuck.

Butch, at 123beta has an interesting note of who she really supports.

Becki Snow, at The Question Fairy, has The Ballad of Cynthia McKinney.

Hillbilly White Trash has McKinney's (D, GA) support program.

Commenter Shimauma gives us this.

I don't have a blog (as has been mentioned) but I would like to say that Mckinney is an embarr"ass"ment to Women, Blacks, and Politicians. With all three of these groups working hard to be taken seriously (heh), she goes and acts the imbecile, *if* she is in fact truly acting.

And now there's new information that she's using congressional funds to haul Isaac Hayes (Chef of Southpark for the Comedy Central deprived) to dedication ceremonies. Of course after she got caught raiding the congressional till, her staff offered to pay it back. So if you break the rules, like say, hitting a cop, and then steal money, you're still okay to represent your state as an elected official if your STAFF pays back the money you stole??? Yeah, THAT'S democratic! Keep Voting Georgia!

And I (GEBIV of There's One, Only!) give you my take on what she's doing.
