Posting Images On Your Blogger Blog
In recent months, Blogger has added many, many features to its system. One of the drawbacks of Blogger in the past was the fact that it didn't include the ability to include images on your blog. To include images, you had to use a third-party service. They recommended Picasa (Hello).
But that was then. This is now.
Blogger now includes the ability to add pictures built-in to its system.
Here's how...
On your compose/edit page, select the Add Image button. In Compose mode, it's on the right:
On the HTML mode, it's on the left:
Click the Add Image button, and a pop-up window appears:
From this point, it's as easy as filling out a form. Click Browse and locate the image on your hard drive. Or, if you're using an image from another site, enter the URL in the URL box.
If you want the text in your post to wrap around your image (like the image of me at the top of this post), check Left, Center, or Right.
Finally, pick the image size, because if the image is over 400 pixels, it will resize it for display and provide a link to the full-size image.
Select Upload Image ... and wait for the image to transfer.
And that's it!

I've had my blog on Blogger since Aug. 20, 2005 and I have had pics the entire time...

Yes, they introduced hosted pictures in 2005. Back when I was on Blogger (late 2004-early 2005) I had to use a third-party.
Blogger has greatly improved their offerings to bloggers. I'm hoping those that have or have had Blogger blogs before these recent improvements ... are made aware of them.

Is that 400px high or wide or either?
If you want to do the research, what would be REALLY handy would be the specs on what "small", "medium", & "large" really mean as far as display size vs actual image size.
Also, if you choose "other" under layout, it puts the picture to the left, but doesn't wrap text, right?

My experiments showed either.
Large is 400, medium is 320, small is 200. If the image is larger than the size picked, it will be resized. If it's smaller, it won't affect it.
As for layout, "left" and "right" wraps text like you would expect. "Center" ... well, centers the image. No wrap, but text can appear above or below. And "none" is inline, with no formatting applied at all.
