Performancing for Firefox
Performancing for Firefox is here!
Of course you're probably wondering just what is Performancing for Firefox.
Well the good folks over at Performancing.com have written a blog editor for Firefox. So if you're using Firefox Version 1.5 or better, instead of writing your posts in Wordpress, Movable Type or Blogger you can use the Performacing Editor.
What makes this even better is you can setup your blog and post directly from the editor, like I did with this post. So you don't even have to log in to write or publish posts ever again.
To setup Performancing so it will automatically list your blogs you will need to walk through the following steps after you have installed the Plugin from the link above.
1) Press F8 key to open the Performancing editor.
2) Click the About Button.
3) Click the Launch Wizard Button.
4) Select your Blogging Platform from the list.
5a) If your blog is hosted on Blogger, Live Journal, Typepad or Wordpress.com all you need to do is enter your username and password.
5b) If you are running a Movalbe Type or Wordpress Blog you will need to enter the path of the Server API Script.
ia) For Movable Type Users 99.9% percent of the time this will be the path you use to log in, except you'll replace the mt.cgi with mt-xmlrpc.cgi.
If you go to http://thealliance.com/mt/mt.cgi to log into Movable Type you would enter http://thealliance.com/mt/mt-xmlrpc.cg.
ib) For Wordpress Users 99.9% of the time you will use the path to your blog followed by /xmlrpc.php
http://thealliance.com/xmlrpc.php
ii) Enter Your Username and Password.
6)Click next and a list of your blogs will be pulled up for you to verify.
If you aren't running any other plugins / extensions for Firefox, I whole heartedly recommend you run Performancing for Firefox.
** This post was of course written using the Performancing plugin. **

It works, but when I use the text edit mode, then publish, I get really screwy results... And when I tried to edit an existing post, it published twice.
