New Assignment
First, a loud, prolonged, standing ovation to Frank for launching the Front Line Voices project. Best damn idea ever to hit the blogosphere, as far as I’m concerned.
In honor of this tremendous accomplishment, this week’s assignment will, once again, celebrate the power of music.
Although crushing the forces of Islamo-fascist evil is what American soldiers do best, our brave men and women will often say, when asked, “I’m just doing my job.” Now, I know that when I’m doing MY job, I often find myself getting bored and having my mind start to wander. That’s fine for a bank teller, but in a soldier’s world, staying focused means the difference between life and death. Personally, I find that a little background music goes a long way toward keeping me mentally awake and alert. So, with that in mind, please answer the following question:
What song(s) would you put on the CD, “Music to Whack Terrorists By”?
Supporting links to lyrics, mp3’s, and/or CD cover art are encouraged, but not mandatory.
As before, post your answers on your own blog and either leave a permalink in the comments to this post, or e-mail the link to me at the contact address in the upper left corner of the HQ page (harvolson@charter.net).
Blogless HQ readers may enter directly in the comments.
Submissions are due by midnight on Thursday, October 2. Late entries must be accompanied by a lame excuse. I'll post the results at HQ during my Friday night blogging session.

In progress.

That's just off the top of my head - if I could access my cd collection from work, I'd give you more. I only apologize for the fact that I don't have my own blog to post this on. I DO NOT apologize for the fact that my list is metal-heavy. Hey, what kinda music do YOU kill furriners to?!
