Front Line Voices

I've registered frontlinevoices.org and will be working to get that space and set it up. Jennifer, though, has made us frontline.mu.nu which we can use for further discussion of how to handle this project (as a lot of you have brought up some great points in the comments section). We should probably get some mailing lists together. I'm already too clogged with e-mails, so does someone else want to take care of that. Just e-mail me (imao[at]cfl.rr.com) if you're willing to do that job. I'll later post the different things we'll need people to do, and then people can e-mail in what they want to help out on.

I really should be working now, so I'll have another update once I get home from work (about 6:20pm ET). If you want to help, bookmark http://frontline.mu.nu because that's where the discussion of this project will be moving.

Thanks so far for all the support. With this many people behind this, I think we can really do some good.

BTW: Thanks to Steve Anich for coming up with the name.

Please sign me up for your endeavor. I've already sent a $100 worth of toys to Chief Wiggles. But I want to do more. I will list FrontLineVoices on my blog.

Frank,

Not sure what you're getting at here, but I just emailed my colleagues at Four Right Wing Wackos this afternoon saying:

"We need a blog which serves the SOLE PURPOSE of getting the good news out there"

I would love to participate in such an effort in any way I can.

Please add me to your list. I am not sure at what point I can offer anything, as my vistorship is very low, but I am just as willing as you are to do what I can to support our military and put the lying media in its place.

This is a fantastic idea and I am glad to do what I can. One suggestion I have is that we do a blogroll of bloggers from the sandbox. I would also suggest that it not be limited to serving soldiers, but from civilians and natives that provide the alternative viewpoint. If anyone wants, I can try to whip up a quick list with some categories this week and send it to whomever it needs to go to. Just drop me an e-mail and let me know. BTW, just gave the new site a push, as has my Blogfather Joe Katzman.

So YOU are the guys sending all the fake letters to the press from "happy" soldiers, telling what a great "success" the occupation of Iraq is.

If you really want to help why don't you sign up for duties in Falluja?

Fake Letters , ahem ,, no not fake , real letters from real people and also from the iraqis , I know of a blog that write only for iraq and the people are screaming for help and are asking us not to leave them , yeah and its no joke , they want us there they want freedom like we have , they do not want it to go bacjk to what it was .. so I suggest that you go back and reread what was posted in the first place , before you go making assumtions ... shame on you !!

anyway I will do what ever I can to help ...let me know ..

Saudi Arabia and Libya were the source of about 60 percent of the foreign fighters
who came to Iraq in the past year to facilitate attacks.
